The Whitlee Casey fall tour will make a stop in Newton, performing with special guest Outside the Walls at 7 p.m. Sept. 29 at First Missionary Church, 1300 Berry Ave. Admission to the concert is free. 

Casey began learning guitar by playing music with his dad at a young age and listening to music that inspired him, such as Garth Brooks, Steven Curtis Chapman and David Crowder. Whitlee is now a worship leader and songwriter from Troy, Texas. Casey has been traveling, performing his music and leading worship across the country for more than 10 years.

In 2016 he was named  Teen Christian Radio Male Artist of The Year. In 2009 his band, the Whitlee Casey Band, was a Music Association of Central Texas Gospel Band of The Year Nominee.
