Another beautiful weather day for great veggies, baked goods and crafts.

Unruh's took off for a wedding in Iowa, so Duane and Shelby got the opportunity to come to Newton and market a nice variety of Unruh Farms produce, jams and eggs.

Melody Peterson is staying busy with a new part time job and somehow her craft creativity is progressing to a new level of unique gifts.

3.  Keep our community unique: Where we shop, where we eat and have fun — all of it makes our community home. Our one-of-a-kind businesses are an integral part of the distinctive character of this place.   Great vendors, products, customers and neighbors.

7.  Invest in community: Local businesses are owned by people who live in this community, are less likely to leave, and are more invested in the community’s future.

Many of our local businesses are truly hometown and grass roots.  "Buy Local, Buy Harvey."

Is Saturday morning a busy family day?  Start your weekend at Harvey County Farmers Market. Pack a cooler, and still have time for garage sales, sports practice, dance, swimming and whatever else you have planned.

Harvey County Farmers Market has the best value for nutrition and quality in Newton.

Directions: From Gillispie Meats, travel west on Broadway to Oak. Then go south on Oak to 6th, then west 1/2 block. Harvey County Farmers Market is on the south side in a large city parking lot.

Maybe we can get some rain by Labor Day!
