The Bethel College Academy of Performing Arts (BCAPA) will host an annual Fall Open House from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 12 in the Bethel College Memorial Hall Basement, 300 E. 27th Street, North Newton. 

At this free event, those interested can try sample Kindermusik, dance, and music classes for all ages and levels of experience.  Refreshments be served as you visit with BCAPA's expert professional faculty who will be available to assist in fall lesson and class registration. The open house is an opportunity to learn about upcoming BCAPA performances, creative workshops and other community events. Tours of our the academy's new facility in Memorial Hall at Bethel College will be available.

Free sample class schedule:

10 to 10:20 a.m. — Kindermusik (2-5 years)

10:30 to 10:50 a.m. — Creative Movement (3-6 years)

11 to 11:25 a.m. — Pre-Ballet (5-7 years)

11:30 to 11:55 a.m. — Jazz Dance 1 & 2 (7-10 years)

Noon to 12:20 p.m. — Tap 1 (7-10 years)

12:30 to 12:55 p.m. — Belly Dance (adult)

1 to 1:25 p.m — Adult Jazz Dance

Since 1996 BCAPA has offered performing arts education to the region with professional, college educated instructors. The academy has grown to  nearly 300 students.  BCAPA continues to bring many types of art classes to all members of families through programs such as: Dance, Suzuki Strings, Traditional Strings, Instrumental Music, Visual Artand Kindermusik. There are need-based scholarships available for qualifying families.
