Newton residents Marlene Faul and Beverly Nickel, members of Harvey County Modern Mrs. FCE, recently attended the 65th Annual State Conference of the Kansas Association for Family and Community Education Oct. 3 and 4 in Topeka.
About 130 members, statewide, attended the event.
Participants were able to tour Cedar Crest, the statehouse, a motorcycle museum, Great Overland Station, the Kansas Museum of History, an air combat museum and see the Tiffany windows of First Presbyterian Church. The conference also offered educational sessions on a variety of topics.
