Chuck and Debbie Orpin of Hesston announce the engagement of their daughter, Christy, to Jonathan Newland, son of Craig Newland and Lynda Lamp Newland.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Stan and Imogene Carlisle of Hesston and the late Clarence and Ruth Orpin, also of Hesston. She is employed as an administrative assistant at Paine Law Firm, LLC in Wichita.
Jack is the grandson of Harley and Lynda Newland of Bel Aire and the late Ralph and Hazel Lamp of Wichita. He is an independent contractor for Jack of All Trades, LLC, also in Wichita.
The couple will exchange vows Oct. 24 in Wichita.
