On April 29, Christina Cheyney of Newton left for a two-week mission trip to Takoradi, Ghana. Cheyney was a sophomore at Sterling College, located in Sterling, and is the daughter of Ron and Carol Cheyney.

Cheyney was part of a team that consists of eight other students and one alumna from Sterling College. The team worked with a local ministry, leading church and worship services; evangelizing on the street; planning and carrying out youth variety shows; and teaching elementary schoolchildren math and English. They also had the opportunity to speak about evangelism on SKYY, Ghana’s national television/radio station.
