Competing against 11 other schools Oct. 25, Bethel College forensics team members earned a fourth-place finish in team sweepstakes.
The Threshers participated in the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Swing Tournaments hosted by Kansas City (Kan.) Community College and West Texas A&M University Oct. 24 and 25 on the KCKCC campus.
In the KCKCC Tournament, Julia Huxman, sophomore from Wichita, was second in persuasive speaking while Sarah Unruh, sophomore from Raytown, Mo., took fourth in the same event. Julia Miller, freshman from Hesston, was third in programmed oral interpretation, and Sarah Pohl, sophomore from Moundridge, was fourth in prose interpretation.
On Oct. 25, in the WTAMU Tournament, Miller again took third in oral interpretation. Unruh was fifth in persuasive speaking and seventh in informative speaking. Bethel was one of eight schools in that tournament.
Audra Miller, freshman from Hesston, also competed for the Threshers.
