The Veterans of Foreign Wars and its Ladies Auxiliary are reminding sixth- through eight-grade students the Patriot’s Pen essay contest deadline is Sunday. This year’s theme is “When is the Right Time to Honor Our Military Heroes?”
The Voice of Democracy contest for grades nine through 12 also has a Sunday deadline. This year’s theme is “Does America Still Have Heroes?” For more information, call Kim Butcher at 284-9830.
