Sunset Circle of Friends group visited Papa’s Pumpkin Patch, where they selected pumpkins, sent small pumpkins into orbit with Papa’s gourd sling shots, played in the corn bin and navigated the corn maze.

Nineteen juniors and one senior from Newton High School were inducted into membership of the National Honor Society in a ceremony on Oct. 11 at the high school.

Lily Pankratz of Newton received the Emerging Leader for Transfer Students Award at the Student Organization Achievement Recognition banquet in the spring at Washburn University.
