The following activities take place at the Newton Area Senior Center:
• Arthritis exercise — 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
• Blood pressures: From 10 to 11 a.m. the first four Mondays only. No blood pressures on the fifth Monday.
• Sign Group: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays.
• Trips: NASC sponsor: 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. first and third Mondays. Shopping trips to Wichita. Also on second Wednesday is dinner out. Times vary.
• Newton Area Senior Center Board: Meets at 9 a.m. second Tuesday of each month.
• Center potluck dinner: At 5 p.m. third Tuesday of each month. Bring a covered dish to serve five to six people and table service.
• Bingo game: From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on second and fourth Wednesday of each month.
• Big Meeting (Investment Club) meets at 5 p.m. on third Thursday in the NASC lobby.
• Retired School Personnel: Meets at 9 a.m. on the second Friday, except January, June, July and August.
• Table Card Games: At 1 p.m. Wednesdays.
• Veterans Administration representative: Will be at the center July 9, Sept. 10 and Nov. 12.
• Square dancing: From 7 to 9:30 a.m. Thursdays.
• Round Dancing: From 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays.
