The menus for meals served at the Newton Area Senior Center, 122 E. Sixth, Monday, Nov. 23, through Friday, Nov. 27, are:
Monday — Hamburger on bun, buttered cabbage, pasta salad, sugar cookies.
Tuesday — Chili with beans, diced carrots, fresh orange, chocolate chip cookies, saltine crackers.
Wednesday — Turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes, combination salad with dressing, rosy applesauce, pumpkin pie, dinner roll.
Thursday — Closed for Thanksgiving.
Friday — Closed for day after Thanksgiving.
The meals are served at 11:45 a.m. weekdays, excluding holidays. Contributions are encouraged. The suggested contribution for a meal for those age 60 and older is $2. However, no person will be denied a meal due to an inability to pay. (The meal for each day’s volunteers is provided.)
Reservations must be made with the site manager or the Senior Center director at 283-2222 three weekdays before the meal.
