ABILENE — The Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum will show “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at in the Visitors Center Auditorium. The film showing is free and open to the public.
This fourth film in the “Righteous Cause” film series explores the horror of a World War II extermination camp through the eyes of two 8-year-old boys, one the son of the camp’s Nazi commandant, the other a Jewish prisoner. The boys’ forbidden friendship has startling and unexpected consequences. The film is rated PG-13 for some mature thematic material involving the Holocaust.
The film series is in conjunction with the Holocaust-related exhibit “Eisenhower and the Righteous Cause: The Liberation of Europe.” This exhibit will remain on display in the temporary gallery of the Museum until Dec. 31.
