NEWTON —
There’s no mystery about it — the first-ever Heart to Heart Child Advocacy Center Murder Mystery fund-raiser was a success for the organization.
“Murder on Maui,” performed at the Newton VFW Saturday night, raised $5,200 for the organization. “It was awesome,” organizer Karen Walton said. “Initially, I though we would do between $2,000 and $4,000. It came in more than a thousand above what I expected.”Walton said the organization will put on a similar show again next year, likely in April.
