The following will take place in July at the Hesston Wellness Center:
• July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31: Free Fridays. Take a class, cool off in the pool or work out in the fitness room for free on Fridays during July.
• July 4: 4th of July hours. HWC will be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 4. No classes will be conducted.
• July 7 and 21: Oil Painting Club meets from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the Creative Arts Studio. If you enjoy oil painting, this is the club for you. Call (620) 327-2332 for more information.
• July 8: Intro to Word Processing. Class will take place at 2 p.m. in the Kropf Center at Hesston College. Class will focus on Microsoft Word and Publisher. Previous experience with these programs is not required. Cost is $7 to participate. Pre-register at the front desk.
• July 13: SilverSneakers Member’s Breakfast will take place at 8:30 a.m. in the Midtowne Lounge. SilverSneakers class participants and SilverSneakers members are invited to join Lisa and Shelby for coffee, juice and a healthy breakfast. RSVP by calling or signing up at the front desk.
• July 18: Oil Painting Workshop. This class is for beginning and experienced painters. Cost is $30 to participate and includes all materials. Class meets from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Creative Arts Studio. Pre-register at the front desk at least one week in advance.
• July 21: “Hot or Cold — Good Things from the Garden” with Kay Neff at noon. Get ideas and recipes for healthy summer dining, and you will leave with a take-home box of something good for supper. A fee of $15 includes lunch and take-home box. RSVP at (620) 327-8127. Class will take place at Dyck Arboretum.
