Friday

6:30 p.m. — Keep It Simple Beginners Alcoholics Anonymous, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church rectory basement, 415 S. Ash. The group also meets at the same time and location on Sundays.

Monday

7:30 p.m. — The Compassionate Friends of Harvey County, First Nazarene Church, Ninth and Main streets. The Compassionate Friends of Harvey County is acknowledging the 25th year of offering friendship, understanding and hope for bereaved parents and their families through the local chapter in Newton, which was founded in 1984. All who have attended during the past or those who wish to attend are invited to join the group at the November meeting for sharing and discussion. Compassionate Friends exists for the purpose of helping those who have had a child die, from any age, from any cause. For more information, call Barb Soth at 283-3584 or Connie Andrews at 283-7799.
