Kansan, its customers raise money for fight against breast cancer

The Newton Kansan and its customers raised $725 Friday for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for its fight against breast cancer.

On Friday, the Kansan had a “Going for the Pink” subscription drive.

A total of 70 current and new customers signed up for Kansan subscriptions during the event, with part of the proceeds going to the charity.

The office and Kansan staff members were “decorated” in pink to help spread awareness about breast cancer.
