NEWTON —

Curves of Newton, a women’s fitness center, will host a “Give a Gobble” event from Monday through Nov. 23 to help gather donations for turkeys for the holiday season for those in need.

During this event, the Newton Curves will waive the initial service fee for any new member who brings in a turkey or a $30 contribution, all to be donated to the Harvey County Homeless Shelter.

“We chose this organization because the need is especially great at this time of year,” Curves owner Beth Tanner said. “Our goal is to donate 25 turkeys, and I think we can do it.”

The festivities will include a Turkey Toss and a turkey recipe exchange.

“‘Give a Gobble’ is just a great way for us to get into the giving spirit and to also help those in need at the same time,” Tanner said.

To participate in the Newton Curves “Give a Gobble,” contact Tanner at 283-7373 or newtoncurves@gmail.com.
