7 p.m. — Take Off Pounds Sensibly Kan. No. 162, Kidron Bethel Community Room, 3001 Ivy Drive in North Newton. Men, women and children are welcome.

7:30 p.m. — Al-Anon, 214 S.E. 14th in Newton. Al-Anon family groups provide support for families and friends of Alcoholics. Meetings are at 7:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Call (316) 617-5938 for more information.

Tuesday

11 a.m. — Chapter AG, P.E.O., Prairie Room in Prairie Harvest, 601 N. Main St. An 11 a.m. business meeting with brunch and shopping to follow is on the agenda. Brunch is $20. Reservations are needed. E-mail Carrie at the address in the membership book or phone her home number.

Saturday

10 a.m. — Beta Delta chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, home of Pam Wedel, 816 Trinity Drive in Newton. The program will be given by Nancy Warren, Alpha Delta Kappa Kansas state president.

2 p.m. — Creative Writers’ Fellowship, home of Marie Regehr, North Newton. Chad Frey will talk about writing at The Newton Kansan.
