Suzan Hickey has been hired as Prairie View’s director of marketing.
Hickey’s responsibilities will include marketing with referral sources, retaining and increasing consumer volume and introducing new clinical staff to prospective referral sources.
Drawn to Prairie View because of the types of services available, as well as its mission and tradition of Christian caring, Hickey said the organization “is a perfect match for the skills and experience I’ve gained by working in the health-care industry for the past 15 years.”
Prior to her employment at Prairie View, Hickey spent six years as a provider relations representative for the Kansas Medical Assistance Program.
There, she developed and maintained positive understanding with providers through relationship management and communication skills.
Previous to that, Hickey was a senior customer service coordinator at Preferred Health Systems for seven years.
Hickey graduated with a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration with minors in marketing and management from Friends University.
Prairie View is a faith-based, private behavioral and mental health services provider, offering a range of behavioral and psychiatric services for children, adolescents, adults and older adults, as well as consultation services to businesses and organizations.
In addition to the main campus, including outpatient offices and a psychiatric hospital in Newton, Prairie View has outpatient locations in Hillsboro, Hutchinson, McPherson and Wichita.
