• Chamber Night at Newton Rebels Baseball Game at 6 p.m. at Klein-Scott Field at Centennial Park, 1500 N. Kansas Ave. Admission is free to Chamber members. The Rebels will take on their biggest rival, the Park City Rangers.Monday• Sand Creek Restoration Project Ribbon Cutting will be at 1 p.m. at Athletic Park on the west bank of the creek. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be at the city commission chambers at City Hall.Tuesday• Newton Young Professionals will have a special event at 4 p.m. at the Youthville Chapel, 900 W. Broadway. Any young professional (21 to 39) can come and network and learn about Youthville.Wednesday• Sand Creek Station Golf Course will have a Ribbon Cutting at 10 a.m. at the golf course, 920 Meadowbrook Drive, to celebrate the course’s new addition.• The Book Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. at McKinley Administration Center, 308 E. First St..The group will discuss the book “Outliers” by Malcolm Gladwell. Books are available at the Chamber for $24. Box lunches will be ordered from The Breadbasket, and drinks will be provided.
