Hughes finishes basic training

Air Force Airman Chauncey B. Hughes graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Hughes is the daughter of Lynn Hughes of Carney, Okla., and niece of Carolyn Anderson of Peabody.

The airman is a 2005 graduate of Perkins Tryon High School in Oklahoma.
