Goering to celebrate 90th birthday Oct. 3

Martin H. Goering will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Wellness Center at Memorial Home in Moundridge.

Cards may be sent to 86 22nd Ave., Moundridge, KS 67107. There will be a short program at 2:45 p.m.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1919, in rural McPherson County, of which he remained a lifetime resident. On May 26, 1949, he married the late Evelyn Vogt at Eden Mennonite Church. He is a retired farmer and lived near Elyria for more than 75 years until 2000.

His children are Patty Jean Clark of Phoenix and Mark H. Goering and wife, Mary, of McPherson. He has three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
