fall in finale

The Bethel College men's basketball team ended the season winless, following a 102-64 loss to Bethany Saturday at Thresher Gym.

Bethany hit 21 of 35 from the field in the first half, while Bethany was nine of 24, giving the Swedes a 54-27 lead. Bethany shot 50 percent in the second half, while Bethel fell to 33.3 percent.

Idris Ibn Idris led Bethany with 28 points, followed by Kirby Hawkins with 23 and Jordan Bieberle with 21.

Bethel was led by DeWayne Canady with 15 points, followed by Nnambi Hope-Ezeigbo with 11 points and Jordan Hett with 10 points.

Bethany is 19-10 overall and 12-6 in KCAC play. The Swedes take the third seed in the KCAC post-season tournament.

Bethel ends the season 0-27, 0-18 in KCAC play.
