Area historian Brian Stucky will be the special speaker at Mennonite Heritage & Agricultural Museum's annual meeting at 2:30 p.m.Sunday at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, rural Goessel.

The meeting will be a business meeting followed by Stucky's reflections on "Why the Stories Are Important." 2014 is the 140th anniversary year of Russian Mennonites settling in south central Kansas and the 40th anniversary of the dedication of the museum.

The meeting will end with faspa, a traditional, light Low German Mennonite meal.
