    LYONS — Caylee Richardson scored 16 points, while sister Cami Richardson added 11, in a 44-35 win over Lyons Tuesday in CKL play.
    Hesston trailed 17-11 after the first quarter, but the top-ranked (KBCA, Class 3A) Swathers pulled within one at the half, 25-24, and held Lyons to 10 points in the second half.
    Brenna McClure scored 10 points for Lyons.
    Hesston plays Friday at Haven.

    HALSTEAD — The Halstead High School girls' basketball team fell to visiting Sterling 69-48 Tuesday in CKL play.
    Tied 21-21 at the half, Sterling made a 25-11 run and held the Dragons off in the fourth quarter.
    Kylah Comley scored 21 points for the third-ranked (Class 2A) Black Bears. Andi Dowell and Chelsey Riffel each added 13 points.
    Sydney Beat led Halstead with 24 points.
    Halstead plays Friday at Smoky Valley.

    MARION — The Moundridge Wildcat girls, ranked seventh in Class 2A, held the Marion Warriors scoreless in the first quarter en route to a 46-26 win in Heart of America League play in Marion.
    Moundridge led 22-7 at the half.
    Brooke Holloway led a balanced Wildcat effort with 10 points.
    Moundridge hosts rival Inman Friday.

    ELBING — The Berean Academy girls' basketball team downed Bennington 52-21 Tuesday in HOAL play.
    Berean led 11-8 after the first quarter and 26-13 at the half. The Warriors held Bennington to eight points in the second half, scoreless in the fourth quarter.
    Megan Hendrickson scored 15 points for Berean. Abbi Landis added 11 points.
    Berean plays Friday at Hutchinson Trinity.

    LYONS — Wyatt McKinney scored 25 points to lead the Hesston Swather boys past Lyons 53-47 Tuesday in CKL play in Lyons.
    Hesston trailed 26-23 at the half and 41-38 after three quarters, but held the Lyons to six points in the final period.
    Page 2 of 2 - Tyler McCartney added 12 points for Hesston.
    Grady Kirkhart scored 12 points for Lyons, followed by James Jared with 11 and Alan Pina with 11.
    Hesston plays Friday at Haven.

    ELBING — The Berean Academy boys' basketball team fell at home to Bennington 51-44 Tuesday in HOAL play.
    The Warriors led 31-24 at the half and 42-37 after three quarters, but were outscored 14-2 in the final period.
    Loren Pearce scored 15 points for Berean, followed by Tyler Busenitz with 11.
    Kyle Kieborz led Bennington with 14 points. B.J. Glanton added 13.
    Berean Academy plays Friday at Hutchinson Trinity.
