    • email print
  • On behalf of the Harvey County Safe House, we would like to thank the Kiwanis Club of Newton for their continued financial support through their Community Service Fund for families and children served through the Safe House.
The Harvey County Safe House provided face-to-face domestic violence and sexual assault (DV/SA) victim services to 937 unduplicated victims during the last 12 months.
The Kiwanis’ Project will provide needed funds to support our Children’s Advocacy, which focuses on “building better lives for children." Children’s resources are greatly needed; with these funds, we will be able to purchase additional education, such as interactive toys, equipment and resources for Kid’s Group, the Safe House family room and outside play area.
At the Safe House, mothers and children have a chance to rebuild relationships and enjoy time together. Because of Newton Kiwanis’ commitment to serving the children in this community, the Safe House will be able to continue their efforts to provide effective programs for families served.
Respectfully, Jan Jones Executive Director Harvey County Safe House
