Five men were charged today in Kiowa County District Court in an alleged kidnap and battery case.

Five men were charged today in Kiowa County District Court in an alleged battery and kidnapping case.

Charges filed today:

Cole Cobb, 19, was charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated battery. Cobb bonded out on $7,500 bond and did not appear.

Roy Lothman, 19, was charged with aiding and abetting aggravated battery; conspiracy to commit aggravated battery; battery. Lothman bonded out on a $7,500 bond and did not appear.

Dakota Godfrey, 22, was charged with aggravated kidnapping or aggravated kidnapping with liability for crimes of another; aiding and abetting battery or conspiracy to commit aggravated battery. He remains in custody with a $50,000 bond and has asked for a court appointed attorney.

George Jackson, 21, was charged with aggravated kidnapping; aiding and abetting aggravated battery; conspiracy to commit aggravated battery. He remains in custody on a $50,000 bond. He did not qualify for a court appointed attorney.

Rance Lothman, 23, was charged with aggravated kidnapping; aggravated battery; conspiracy to commit aggravated battery; aggravated intimidation of a witness; criminal threat. He remains in custody on $50,000 bond and has asked for a court appointed attorney.

According to a court document, sometime between Nov. 29 and Nov. 30, Cody Mayes was allegedly kidnapped and taken to a location where he suffered an alleged battery.

All five men are presumed innocent until proven guilty and convicted in a court of law.

Charges were filed in Kiowa County and not in Clark County as previously reported.
