  • HESSTON — The Hesston College women's basketball team downed its sister school, the Bethel College junior varsity, 61-35 Wednesday at Yost Center.
    Bethel was held to 19.2 percent shooting for the game (10 of 52), while Hesston was 23 of 60 for 38.3 percent.
    Leading 7-6, Hesston made a 10-0 run en route to a 36-12 halftime lead.
    Bethany Snow led Hesston with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Makayla Ladwig added 12 points.
    Brittany Carter led Bethel with 10 points.
    Hesston improves to 3-5, winning two of its last three games. The Larks play Cottey College at 1 p.m. Saturday at Nevada, Mo.
