  • Commission to meet
    The Harvey County Commission will meet at 8 a.m. Monday at the Harvey County Courthouse, 800 N. Main.
    The commission will start the meeting with a work session. The normal meeting will be begin at 9 a.m.
    Agenda items include a citizens forum, board appointments, personnel handbook changes, KDOT traffic studies, a proposal for lobbyist services and an executive session.
    Barnyard Puppets to entertain at Library
    The Barnyard Puppets of Newton Public Library will be celebrating Fall at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 30. Bring the family to enjoy stories “Pumpkin Soup”, “Did You Say Ghosts”, “The Leaf Story” and more. Amy Bayes, Youth Services Supervisor, and Jon Duerksen, Library Clerk, are the voices and hands behind the puppets. This program is free and open to all.
