Local author Lisa Jacobs and illustrator Robert Nugent will present their new children’s book "Halloween A Special Day?" at a book signing at Pages Books & Coffee in Newton, on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 10:30 a.m.

In "Halloween A Special Day," a young boy’s imagination goes wild as Halloween approaches. His anxiety turns into excitement as he discovers fun traditions, such as pumpkin carving and dressing in costume. The result is a Halloween he’ll never forget — full of fun, games, candy and adventure.

Poetically written and wonderfully illustrated, this tale uses color to differentiate between reality and imagination.
