American Legion National Commander Dan Dellinger will speak about legion programs and issues concerning veterans following a breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 22 at American Legion Post No. 2, 400 S. Spencer.
Dellinger, of Vienna, Va., was elected national commander of the 2.4 million member of the American Legion in August. He is a former Army infantry officer, serving at Fort Benning, Ga., during the Vietnam War. He entered the U.S. Army Reserve in 1972, leaving the service in 1984 at the rank of captain.
The American Legion is the largest veteran's organization in the nation.
Veterans and the public are invited to the breakfast.
