  • Newton students named to Goshen Student Senate

  • GOSHEN, IN —  Joanna Epp, a sophomore Environmental Science major from Newton, is serving as a Student Senate cabinet representative for the 2013-14 academic year.
    The mission of Student Senate is to represent students' ideas, questions and concerns; to improve students' satisfaction and life on campus; to support campus clubs and organizations; and to foster community and promote communication between students, administration, faculty and the executive board.
    Isaac Fast, a senior Journalism major from Newton, has been elected a Student Senate at-large representative for the 2013-14 academic year. The mission of Student Senate is to represent students' ideas, questions and concerns; to improve students' satisfaction and life on campus; to support campus clubs and organizations; and to foster community and promote communication between students, administration, faculty and the executive board.
    The Student Senate is made up of five cabinet members and six members-at-large. The cabinet includes Caleb Longenecker, president; Epp, vice president; David Zehr, secretary; Ben Shelly,treasurer; and Ezra Ocubamichael, VP of marketing. The members-at-large are Ellen Conrad, Elizabeth Derstine, Isaac Fast, Maddie Gerig, Gretchen Geyer and Karsten Hess.
