  • Eight-Man I, District 3
    (Wheat State League)
    Peabody-Burns (4-0) @ Centre (2-2)
Peabody-Burns downed Canton-Galva 50-20 last week in a battle of unbeatens. Centre downed Burlingame 44-20 to stay alive in the district race. This game is a must-win for Centre to keep its district hopes alive. In addition to staying atop the district standings, Peabody-Burns can clinch a share of the Wheat State League title with a win. A Solomon loss to Little River in week seven could give the Warriors the title outright.
Fred Windsor leads Peabody-Burns with 580 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns. Braxton Kyle has 403 yards passing with three touchdowns. Kyle also has 238 yards rushing with three touchdowns. Kevin Baatrup has 223 yards receiving with two touchdowns.
    Eight-Man II, District 3
    Tescott (2-2) @ Goessel (1-3)
    Burrton (0-4) @ Chase (1-3)
Goessel got off the goose egg in the win column by stopping rival Burrton 46-20. Tescott evened its record with a 44-24 win over Wilson, Tescott's second straight win. Goessel more than doubled its scoring output last week.
Goessel freshman Miguel Guerrero has 318 yards rushing with three touchdowns. Sophomore Chase Flaming has 137 yards passing with a touchdown. Zach Showalter has 157 yards receiving with a touchdown.
Burrton more than tripled its offensive output last week. Opponent Chase fell to Southern Cloud 44-6 last week. The sole win for Chase was to Downs-Lakeside 28-12 in week two.
