  • Community corrections board to meet
    The Harvey/McPherson Counties Community Corrections Advisory Board will meet via telephone conference at noon Sept. 19.
    Participants will be in Judge Richard Walker's office in Newton and Judge John Klenda's office in McPherson.
    Walker's office is on the top floor of the Harvey County Courthouse, 800 N. Main.
    NRC offering babysitter course
    Newton Recreation Commission has become a Registered Safe Sitter® Teaching Site and now offers the comprehensive babysitting training program for young adolescents (11 and up).
    The instructor for the course is Penny Dorado. For more information about class times in September and October please call Newton Recreation Commission at 283-7330.
