  • Adam Jeffrey Tilman and Shana Kay Kaufman of Broken Arrow, Okla., were married July 6, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton. The ceremony was officiated by Father Jim Mainzer.
    The bride is the daughter of Kathy Kaufman Chouinard of Newton and the late Tony Kaufman. She is the granddaughter of Don and Betty Brooks of Norton and Harold Kaufman of Moundridge, and the late Helen Kaufman.
    She is a 2003 graduate of Hesston High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Family Life and Community Service from Kansas State University and a Master of Science in Human Development and Family Science with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oklahoma State University. She is a licensed martial and family therapist for Youth Services of Tulsa
    The groom is the son of Jeffrey and Gloria Tilman of Humboldt. He is the grandson of Charles and Kathryn Tilman of Humboldt.
    He is a 2002 graduate of Humboldt High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Plastic Engineering Technology from Pittsburg State University. He is a project engineer for RL Hudson and Company in Broken Arrow, Okla.
    The couple's attendants included: Maid of Honor: Alli Krase of Omaha, Neb.; Matron of Honor: Kelli Eccles of Chanute; Bridesmaids: Lyndsey Smith of Denver, Colo., Megan Smith of Newton and Cara Thomas of Humboldt; Best Man: Matthew Baker of Republic, Mo.; Groomsmen: Devin Eccles of Chanute, Michael Bauer of Rockwall, Texas, Mitchell King of Humboldt, and Zach Mueller of Kansas City, Kan.
    Ushers included: Jeremy Kaufman of Kansas City, Mo., Trevor Kaufman of Wichita, Bradley Tilman of Oklahoma City, Okla and Drake Tilman of Humboldt.
    A reception was held at The Meridian Center in Newton. The couple went to Montego Bay, Jamaica for their honeymoon. The couple resides in Broken Arrow, Okla.
