    Sedgwick 34, Marion 14
    SEDGWICK — Brylie Ware passed for 302 yards, while Dalton Brandt rushed for 201 yards in a 34-14 win over Marion Friday in HOAL play.
    Sedgwick led 14-0 at the half, but Marion came back to tie in the third quarter. Brandt put the game in the Cardinals' favor on scoring runs of 27, 10 and 49 yards. Ware threw for two touchdowns in the first half.
    Taylor Heidebrecht rushed for 90 yards and a score for Marion. He passed for 137 yards and a touchdown.
    Sedgwick, 2-0, plays Friday at Salina Sacred Heart.

    HUTCHINSON — It was a tough outing for the Moundridge Wildcats Friday night as they took to the road, and came home with a 21-0 loss to Hutchinson Trinity which set their record at 0-2.
    "We still don't have blocking figured out yet.," said coach Courtney Moddlemog. "We can play some tough defense. I am Really proud of how our kids played on the defensive side, we gave up a lot of size but never gave them anything easy."
    Colby Badman led the Wildcat offense, rushing 14 times for 25 yards. Kyle Huxman led the Moundridge defense with 9 1/2 tackles, paced by 9 tackles by DeShawn Pfeiff.

    BROOKVILLE — The Remington Broncos came up empty in their search for their first win of the football season, falling 44-16 on the road at Ell-Saline.
    The Bronco defense gave up 287 rushing yards in the loss. Blake Thunberg went 9 of 13 passing for 98 yards and touchdown, while Todd Ensz finished the night with 61 rushing yards on 14 carries and a touchdown for the Broncos.

    LITTLE RIVER — The Peabody-Burns Warriors moved to 2-0 with a 46-22 win over Little River Friday night.
    Peabody used a strong first half to get the win — racing out to 38-6 edge by the half to get the win.
    Braxton Kyle rushed for two touchdowns for the Warriors.
