    fall to OCU
    EDMOND, Okla. — The Bethel College women's soccer team fell to NCAA Division II Oklahoma Christian University 4-0 Saturday on the road.
    OCU scored two goals in each half. Bethel was outshot 42-3. Kimberly McLaughlin had 14 saves. Madison Wiles had four saves.
    Rachel Bates scored two goals for OCU, 1-1. Estefania Bermudez Delgado scored a goal with two assists. Somer Helms added a goal.
    Lindsey Williams and Anna Walker combined for the shutout for OCU.
    Bethel falls to 0-3 and hosts Central Christian at 5 p.m. today at Joe W. Goering Field.

    DALLAS — The Bethel College men's soccer team split a pair of weekend games on a trip to north Texas.
    Friday, Bethel fell to Texas Wesleyan 3-1. Saturday, Bethel claimed its first win of the season, stopping Dallas Christian 4-1.
    Against Texas Wesleyan, 3-0, all of the scoring came in the second half. Ivan Kovacevic scored two goals with an assist for TWU. Edvaldo Pedro added a goal.
    Bethel scored on a goal by Miller Dutcher.
    Arnold Martinez had two saves in goal for TWU. Casey Budd had eight saves in goal for Bethel.
    Stats for the Dallas Christian game were not reported.
    Bethel is 1-2 and hosts Central Christian College at 7:30 p.m. today.

    Wingnuts sweep
    Grand Prairie
    WICHITA — The Wichita Wingnuts claimed a three-game sweep of the Grand Prairie AirHogs after a 13-0 win Friday at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
    Page 2 of 2 - The Wingnuts advance to the American Association championship series for the second straight year, facing division rival Gary SouthShore.
    Wichita scored in seven of the nine innings.
    Anthony Capra went 7 1-3 innings for a win, allowing three hits, a walk and nine strikeouts. Andrew Aizenstadt finished out the eighth inning. Josh Dew pitched the ninth.
    Ryan Khoury went three for four hitting with a home run and three RBIs. C.J. Ziegler went three for four with an RBI. David Amberson went three for five with an RBI. Abel Nieves and Jared McDonald each went two for five with two RBIs. Brent Clevlen went three for five with an RBI. Jake Kahaulelio added an RBI.
    Derek Blacksher took the loss for Grand Prairie. Palmer Karr went two for four hitting.
    Gary SouthShore advanced to the finals with a three games to one win over Fargo-Moorhead. The first game of the best-of-five finals will be Tuesday in Gary.
    ZIEGLER, HOOPER HONORED — Wichita Wingnuts first baseman Ziegler was named the American Association Player of the Year and manager Kevin Hooper was named manager of the year.
    Ziegler hit .318 with 30 home runs and 99 RBIs. He set a new league record for home runs in a season and led the league in RBIs. He was fourth in runs scored (81), tied for fourth in doubles (32), tied for fifth in walks (58) and tied for ninth in on-base percentage (.408).
    Hooper led the team to a 68-32 record in the regular season. He set a league record for wins in a season and winning percentage (.680). His 290 career wins also leads the league.
