Last week for "Kansas: the Big Picture"
This is the last week to view "Kansas: The Big Picture" at the Carriage Factory Art Gallery in Newton. The photographic images of Kansas by George Jerkovich are featured in large format verticals and horizontals, on canvas or paper, framed and unframed.
George Jerkovich through his photographic lenses found powerful, significant and noteworthy Kansas scenes that inspire and delight, a news release stated.
"It feels like you're right there, ready to step onto the road," said one gallery visitor while viewing "Road, Chase Co."
Other favorites of this exhibit have been "Monument Rocks, Gove Co.," "Rock and Hill," "Late Dusk, Saline Co.," "Ancient Contours," "Our Daily Bread" and "Schoolhouse Sunset."
Come look for your favorite Kansas scene. You may find the perfect image for your office or home, one that will remind you of the unique beauty of Kansas.
"There is something powerful, something significant, something noteworthy about Kansas," wrote Tom Averill in the introduction to "What Kansas Means to Me."
Drop by this week, from noon to 5 p.m. through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
