    SALINA — The Hesston College volleyball team claimed its first win of the season, stopping the Kansas Wesleyan junior varsity Friday in straight sets in Salina.
    Hesston won the match 25-18, 25-21, 29-27.
    Becca Hopping led Hesston with 12 kills, followed by Brianna Weakley with 11. Maggie Lasater dished out 40 assists. Theresa Shideler had 17 digs, followed by Weakley with 10. Hopping and Weakley each had four blocks.
    Hesston is 1-3 and plays at 11 a.m. today at Barton County Community College.
