SEWARD, Neb. — The Bethel College women's soccer team opened the season with a 4-1 loss to Concordia (Neb.) Wednesday night in Seward.

Concordia took a 3-1 lead at the half. Bethel was outshot 22-5. Ashlie Sklenika, Rachel Mussell, Meredith Hein and Jaimi Stelk each scored for Concoria, 1-0. Bethel scored on a penalty kick. The goal scorer was not listed.

Bethel hosts Southwestern Christian at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Thresher Stadium.
