  • Dorothy and Wilbert Wiebe, along with their children, invite family and friends to join them at an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 8 at Emmaus Mennonite Church, Whitewater, to celebrate the 60 years they have enjoyed together.
    Dorothy and Wilbert were married at New Hopedale Mennonite Church of Meno, Okla., Sept. 12, 1953.
    Their children include Gail and Russell Toevs, Brenda and Tim Wuthrich, Brad and Mary Wiebe, all of Whitewater, and Deanna and Calvin Hostetler of Rocky Ford, Colo.
    The couple has seven grandsons, three granddaughters, one grandson in law and granddaughter in laws.
    Dorothy was a homemaker, a school bus driver, and a café operator. Wilbert farmed.
    Emmaus Mennonite Church is east of Whitewater, near the junction of K-196 and Meadowlark Road at 9070 N.W. Meadowlark Road.
