TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras — Sporting Kansas City won its second match of group play in the CONCACAF Champions League, stopping CD Olimpia 2-0 Tuesday in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Soony Saad scored both goals for Sporting, striking in the 27th minute and the 68th minute. Benny Feilhaber and Graham Zusi were each credited with an assist on the first goal.

Sporting was outshot 10-7, but Olimpia managed just one shot on goal. Eric Kronberg had the sole save for Sporting for the clean sheet.

Sporting hosts Nicaraguan side Real Esteli Sept. 17 and Olimpia Oct. 23 in the second leg of Group 2 round-robin play.
