MOUNDRIDGE — Garden Community Church has the privilege of celebrating 125 years of ministry as the Lord’s church in the Harvey County and McPherson County communities.
The church is located at 6520 N. Halstead Rd, Moundridge.
The church will celebrate this milestone August 24 and 25, and is extending a special invitation to the community to join us for the weekend.
There are several special events being planned for that weekend.
At 5 p.m. Aug. 24 the church will host a hamburger fry followed by a time of sharing and reflecting in the church fellowship hall.
At 9:30 a.m. Aug. 25 the youth through adult Sunday School classes will meet together to hear from missionaries about the importance of missions at Garden and how that has impacted their ministry on the field. The Sunday morning service will feature Pastor Carlon Tschetter, who served Garden as Senior Pastor from 1980 to 1991. The celebration will conclude with a noon meal catered by Knackie’s of Inman, followed by an opportunity to fellowship with one another.
