  • County commission to meet
    The Harvey County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday in the Harvey County Courthouse, 800 N. Main.
    Agenda items include temporary construction easements, a resolution setting driver's license fees for out of county residents, a report on the Germany business recruiting trip taken by Mickey Fornaro-Dean and Stan Broadhagen, a citizen's forum and an executive session.
    The commission will meet at 7 a.m. at the Breadbasket of Newton, 219 N Main St, for a breakfast with the Harvey County Farm Bureau Association. The county also has a 4 p.m. Monday Aviation Commission Meeting scheduled at the Newton City/County Airport and a 7 p.m. Monday park board meeting scheduled for West Park.
     
     
    Bible school enrollment
    Enrollment for the Newton Weekday Bible School program will be conducted during meet-you-teacher nights at each elementary in the school district and at an open house for Santa Fe Middle School.
    The open house at Santa Fe will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Elementary meet-your-teacher night will be 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
