Ram Rodeo Series

HALSTEAD — The Ram Rodeo Series will be 8 p.m. Aug. 8 in Halstead as part of Old Settlers Days.

The event will be at Riverside Park.

HESSTON — Megan Redd of Castle Rock, Colo., signed a letter of intent to play softball at Hesston College.

Redd was a left-handed pitcher for Douglas County High School, where she qualified for state twice in the past two seasons. She is an All-Continental Conference honorable mention.

"I'm delighted to have added Megan to our roster," Sharp said. "She gives us a good pitching option from the left side and I'm looking forward to her contributions this season. Megan is a well-rounded student athlete and will thrive at Hesston College."

Redd has volunteered at pitching clinics and coaches for recreational youth softball teams.

She is a member of the Creekside Bible Church in Castle Rock, where she is active in the youth group. She intends to major in engineering.
