    The Andover Central Jaguars reached the championship semifinals of the American Legion Class A, Zone 6 Tournament at Klein-Scott Field.
    Andover Central downed the Clearwater Indians 11-0 in four innings on the 10-run rule in championship quarterfinal play.
    In first round games, Clearwater edged Winfield 7-6 and McPherson downed the Salina Eagles 10-0 in five innings.
    In today's games, Salina meets Clearwater at 3 p.m. in an elimination game. The host Newton Junior Knights meet McPherson at about 5 p.m. The Newton-McPherson loser meets Winfield at about 7 p.m.
    Andover Central pitcher Tyler Harris worked three innings for the win, allowing four hits, a walk and five strikeouts. Grant Schoonover finished the game, allowing a walk and two strikeouts.
    Andover Central scored a run on three errors in the third inning. The Jaguars erupted for seven runs on six hits with two hit batters in the third inning, and three more runs in the fourth on two hits with a walk and a hit batter.
    Cole Taylor drove in three runs for the Jags. Brock Schaffer went two for three hitting with an RBI.
    Eric Baughman went two for two hitting for Clearwater. Starter Bryson Rushing took the loss.
    McPherson pitcher Cody Storkel allowed just one baserunner in a 10-0 no-hit win over the Salina Eagles in first-round play. The game was called after five innings on the eight-run rule.
    Storkel walked none and struck out six. The sole Salina baserunner reached on an error.
    McPherson's Nelson Steinert went two for four hitting with two RBIs. Caleb Schmidt went two for three.
    McPherson used two hits and four walks to take a 4-0 lead in the first three innings. McPherson scored six runs in the fifth inning on two hits, aided by three walks and two hit batters. Marcus McDaniels hit a two-run triple.
    Salina starter Kaden Besher took the loss.
    In the opening game of the tournament, Clearwater opened with a 3-0 lead in the first two innings. Winfield stranded a total of six batters in the first three innings. Clearwater added a pair of runs in the top of the fourth.
    Winfield strung three hits together, two for extra bases, to break the shutout, scoring three runs in the bottom of the fifth. Three Clearwater hits in the top of the sixth inning led to two more Indian runs. Winfield replied with three in the bottom of the inning.
    Winfield scores an unearned run in the bottom of the seventh, but left the tying run stranded.
    Dylan Layton pitched 5 2-3 innings for Clearwater for the win. Baughman recorded the last two outs for the save. Winfield starter Isaac Bailey took the loss.
    Page 2 of 3 - Cody Lill led Clearwater at the plate, going three for four hitting with three RBIs. Layton went two for three with two RBIs.
    For Winfield, Lucas McMichael went two for three with two RBIs.
