WINNIPEG — The Wichita Wingnuts dropped the third and deciding game of a three-game series against the Winnipeg Goldeyes 4-3 Wednesday in Winnipeg.

The Goldeyes won two of the three games of the series.

Wichita scored all three runs in the top of the first on a three-run Cole Armstrong home run. Tim Ratola went two for four hitting for the Wingnuts.

Winnipeg scored a run each in the first, third, sixth and ninth innings. Amos Ramon drove in two runs for the Goldeyes, including the game winner on a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth. Josh Mazzola went two for four with an RBI. Fehlandt Lentini added an RBI.

Tyler Graham and Nick Liles each went two for four.

Patrick Keating pitched two outs in the ninth for the win. Wichita's Lincoln Holdzkom took the loss.

Wichita falls to 16-9. Winnipeg improves to 14-12. The Wingnuts maintain a 2 1/2 game lead over Lincoln in the AA Central Division. Wichita returns home at 5:05 p.m. Friday for a doubleheader against AA North Division leaders St. Paul.
