    Maple. The ceremony recognized graduates receiving degrees in the spring 2013 semester and candidates for degrees in the

    Newman Dean's List
     
    Newman University officials have announced the students on the Dean’s List for the spring semester of 2013. To qualify for
    this achievement, a student must complete 12 credit hours and have attained a grade point average of 3.5 or better. Students from Harvey County Halstead KS Robin Lamb, Halstead; Hesston KS Collin Rupp, Hesston; Newton KS Ana Andrade, Newton; Francisco Fields, Newton; Mollie Schwabauer, Newton: Charolette Freeman, Sedgwick.
     
    Fort Hays Deans Honor Roll
     
    Fort Hays State University deans have named 1,096 students to the Deans Honor Roll for the spring 2013 semester. The list includes undergraduate students only. To be eligible, students must have enrolled in 12 or more credit hours and have
    a minimum grade point average of 3.60 for the semester. Full-time on-campus and virtual students are eligible.
    Studends from Harvey County: Macy Leigh McCurry, a graduate of Burrton High School, is a senior majoring in agricultural business. Alayna M. Bergkamp, a graduate of Trinity High School, is a junior majoring in elementary education (special education minor). Anna Marie Weber, a graduate of Halstead High School, is a senior majoring in business education (corporate communications). Melanie A. Mabrey, a graduate of Hesston High School, is a senior majoring in psychology. John David Martens, a graduate of Hesston High School, is a senior majoring in organizational leadership. Kate E. Lehman, a graduate of Newton High School, is a junior majoring in elementary education. Jennifer Lester, a graduate of Andover High School, is a senior majoring in organizational leadership. Amy J. Torres, a graduate of Dodge City High School, is an elementary education major. Erica Lynn Skiles, a graduate of Sedgwick High School, is a freshman majoring in nursing.

    More than 700 undergraduate and graduate students at Baker University received their degrees during commencement ceremonies
    May 11 and May 19 at the Collins Center. Baker, the first university in Kansas, has been listed among the top schools in the Midwest in the annual college rankings by
    U.S. News & World Report, and selected as a top school in the Midwest by The Princeton Review. The University serves nearly 3,300 students through the College of Arts and Sciences and School of Education undergraduate
    programs in Baldwin City; the School of Nursing in Topeka; the School of Professional and Graduate Studies in Overland Park,

    Ottawa, Kansas - The following area students were recognized for their achievements during Ottawa University's spring honors
    convocation on April 18, 2013, in the Fredrikson Chapel. Iva Kirkland, Lost Springs, Sigma Beta Delta Inductee; Danika Good, Hesston, Women's Tennis.
    Chloe Mais Named to Dean's List at St. Olaf College Marci Sortor, Dean and Provost of St. Olaf College, has named Chloe Mais from Peabody to the St. Olaf College Dean's list for
    the Spring 2013 semester. Mais is a French major. She is the daughter of Nasir Islam and Susan Mayo. The Dean's list recognizes students with a semester grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4-point scale. Dean Sortor
    stated, "These students have distinguished themselves among a talented and highly qualified student body. We celebrate their
    success in gaining recognition for academic excellence."
