  • Bethel College golf coach Gregg Dick signed Jaden Schmidt of Moundridge to a letter of intent to play for the Threshers beginning this fall.?Schmidt attended Moundridge High School, which does not field a golf team. He did play baseball and basketball for the Wildcats.?"I am very excited Jaden has chosen to play golf at Bethel College next year," Dick said. "Jaden will be a great addition to the team, as well as to the Bethel Community. Jaden participated in baseball in high school, because Moundridge does not have a golf team, but he has spent many summers working, playing golf and learning the game at the Hesston Golf Course. He doesn't have the high school competition experience, but I anticipate he will be able to make the transition well. Jaden is a high quality student and young man, and I'm looking forward to working with him over the next four years."?Schmidt was in the band at Moundridge and on the honor roll for four years. He is a member of his church youth group.?He intends to major in business, marketing and management at Bethel.
