Fresh off a KCAC title and a national tournament berth, Bethel College tennis coach Lonnie Isaac bolstered his lineup for next season by signing Hesston High grad Rachel Shogren to a letter of intent.?Shogren is a four-year letterwinner and two-time state medalist at Hesston High School. She is the sister of current BC player Steph Shogren.?Rachel Shogren won three Central Kansas League team titles with the Swathers. She was CKL champion at second doubles as a sophomore, runner-up at first doubles as a junior and champion at first doubles as a senior. She finished seventh in Class 4A state as a junior and senior.?"We are very excited that Rachel has chosen to continue her playing career at Bethel," Isaac said. "Rachel is a strong student-athlete that fits the profile of the players we like to have in our program and she will be a great addition on and off the court. Having played for a top program like Hesston she is well prepared for success at the college level."
